Our MAres

From our perspective, the mare is the most important part of the breeding equation. Biologically speaking, a sire and dam each contribute 50 percent of the foal’s genetic material, however we have found, that at times, the mare can contribute up to 75 percent.  When breeding for a versatile horse, suitable for both children and adults, a few broodmare qualities top our list,  good conformation, natural athletic ability and most importantly, a sound even temperament. Each mare that enters our breeding program must display all three traits and each has been chosen based on this.
