Kennedy qualified for the Bundeschampionate for three years running. In 2001, he placed 5th in the 4yo Stallion Riding Class, in 2002, he was 7th for 5yo Dressage Ponies and in 2003, he placed 6th for 6yo Dressage Ponies.

In 2003, Kennedy was awarded "FN Bundesprämienhengst” and Reserve Champion in Dressage and Show at the “FN Bundeshengstschau” in Berlin (both times behind FS Champion de Luxe). He scored a perfect score of 10.0 for rideability. He was also the Champion of 2003 Weser-Ems Riding Pony Stallion Show.

Kennedy has competed successfully in Germany at Prix St. George with teenager, Theresa Meyer.  His show record under saddle is incredible, with 32 victories and 85 places from riding pony classes to Prix St. Georg level, with 25 of those victories at L – M Level.

Kennedy has proven himself through his numerous German Riding Pony progeny. Kennedy was awarded the coveted title “Elitehengst” in Weser-Ems for numerous approved stallions and state premium mares. Some of his approved sons are approval champion Keerlke, Landeschampion Hannover Kick Down, and the 2011 2nd reserve champion Kaiser Bonaparte – who is certainly a young stallion to watch. His States Premium daughter Loretta was Champion of the 2004 Elite Mare show of Weser-Ems. The gelding Kalimar has been successful at M Level Dressage, and Kronjuwel at FEI Level Dressage. Proving to be a producer of versatile ponies, the gelding Kentucky Boy competes at M Level showjumping (1.25m) and Kentaur who now competes under the USEF name of Paparazzi finished 2010 ranked 30th and qualified for the 2011 pony finals in the United States.

Kennedy has a wonderful character for children and adult amateurs as proven by his perfect score of 10.0 for rideability. His beautiful black color, for which he is homozygous black, elegant movement, and proven breeding record offers the pony breeder a quality choice for their mare.

The pedigree

Kennedy's sire is the Elite stallion Kaiserjaeger, who is a foundation stallion of the German Riding Pony. Kaiserjaeger produced no less than 20 approved stallion sons of which many were Champion or Reserve Champion of their licensings.

His Dam is the Elite mare Grace Kelly, one of the best known German Riding Pony mares of all time. She is the dam of no less than three approved stallions: Kennedy, Kiribati, and Kaiserwalzer, thus securing her the title of “Elite” mare. Her dam, Gina, was a purebred Welsh B who was imported to Germany from Great Britain. Gina produced daughters who consistently themselves produced approved stallions and states premium daughters. Further proof of the strength of this motherline is shown by the exceptional dam-sire, Brillant. Kennedy’s dam, El.St.Grace Kelly, is by Brillant. Brillant is one of the most influential and important of the German Riding Pony foundation sires. He is a British Riding Pony who was imported to Germany by the Coldewey Family in 1981. He passed away in 2003 at the ripe old age of 25 but not prior to siring an unbelievable 35 approved stallions and 23 States Premium mares. He has been listed in the top three stallions of the FN’s pony breeding statistics for dressage since 1995. The outstanding contribution Brillant has made to the pony breeding world can not be over emphasized

the australian chapter

Since arriving in Australia, Kennedy WE has been unbeaten in every competition he has started. In 2012, his first season of competition, he was crowned both the NSW and VIC State Medium and Advanced Pony Champion. In 2013, he was crowned the VIC State PSG and Inter I Pony Champion. His scores placed him 6th and 3rd respectively of all starters - Pony and Horse. In 2015, Kennedy WE was the Victorian State Champion at Prix St George and Inter I. His Inter I score had him placed 2rd amongst all horse and pony competitors. In 2016 he was selected to participate at Dressage with the Stars in the Matthias Rath Masterclass and then at the Eventing Dressage Masterclass by Christoph Hess.

In the breeding barn, Kennedy WE sired the overall Champion Pony foal of the ACE/ ASPR tour. In 2014, he sired the Weser Ems Licensing Champion, Kastanienhof Kentaur. His Australian born progeny are excelling in the show ring at National and State level and in Dressage, regularly outscoring the warmbloods when classes are combined.

Kennedy WE has performed at the highest standard all of his ridden career. He was a champion FEI pony with a junior rider and continued success in Australia. Kennedy is like a good red wine, he just keeps getting better with age. In 2016, the decision was made to retire Kennedy from all competitions and in 2017, he retired from ridden work at home.

In late 2022, Kennedy retired to the great paddock in the sky to join his old master FEI friends from younger days. His loss to the GRP breeding world will be heavily felt by many Worldwide.
