In August 2020, Andy was brought home to Queensland. He became very ill on the journey with colitis. Testament to his quality of health and fitness he was able to pull through after an intensive regime of care. Sadly, due to a complication during recovery, Andy was required to be gelded to improve his chance of full recovery. We are pleased to say, he is nearly back to 100% and will start back in work.

He left Victoria ready for a start in Medium, with much of the work for Advanced established. All this by 7 years old!

The pedigree

His sire, Power Boy, belongs to the very few, only a handful,  of stallions that are at the top of the world breeding of Riding Ponies. After only 6 seasons at the "Mecca" of Riding Pony breeding, in Rheinland, Germany, Powerboy placed in the top 10 out of 1400 stallions based on the results of his offspring.

Power Boy has consistently produced top progeny. In the years 2000 and 2001 he had 13 Approved Stallion sons and 20 Approved Stallion grandsons. Most of them became Elite or Premium Classified! He also had 17 Approved Stallions as a Grand Sire on the Dam sides. Power Boy is simply in a class of his own.

His Progeny top the Winnings and Placings at the international competitions in any discipline, such as the Nordic Championships, the European Championships and the German Bundeschampionat, Essener Youngster Classics, the German Pony 3-day Event Championships as well as the Driving at the Windsor Horse Show in England. One of his most notable progeny is the wonderful FEI pony Power and Paint.

Andy's dam is the imported State Premium Mare Sweet Belladonna K. Belladonna achieved her State Premium Status in 2010 with an overall score of 8.1, including a 9 for her jump. She qualified for the Elite Mare show at Wusting where she was the 1D Champion in the Brilliant Ring.
